i think you mixing people up kaya is raymonds sister. i think you mean henry? also women back then were regarded as inferior than men. they were the mother of the household meaning that they usually had the do the chores, tend to the kids, etc. they usually didnt have the leisure to paint and probably werent allowed to since its this special, beautiful thing (pretty much all painters back then were male). its changed overtime now tho so thats good.

Like I know it's how woman were portrayed before but this is just plain stupid even painting is not something a lady should do, if Kaya were to ask me if say those are plain rubbish what's a lady without here favorite things to do I mean you like painting so why listen to her I mean even though both hers and Raymond relationship is not allowed she still went on with it so why painting something not good for a lady
