Oh heck, I finished this back when the final chapters came out, but for some reason I didn't realize Yushiro was still alive?? Like, this poor boy nearly died from illness hundreds of years ago, and he's still alive today just painting Tamayo, continuing her legacy even if no one remembers who she is anymore but him. Though I do have to wonder how no one's put together how everyone in the Kamado residence picture (of everyone from after the final battle) looks like people in the modern world. It also makes me sort of sad to see that these families drifted apart and now aren't even really acquainted anymore. Also dang, Nezuko's modern look-alike, Toko, is a jerk? Like, she's really shallow and does the whole tsundere-esque physical abuse, though it's to her brother. Also a bit ironic that she'd be dating one of Tanjirou and Kanao's descendants, since that would make her a Kamado again if they got married. Anyway, sorry, just a bunch of random thoughts I had in revisiting this. I think it'd be neat to see a story where these reincarnations have to combat modern day demons, likely an unintended consequence of Yushiro attempting to do as Tamayo had done for him - trying to save the lives of the dying. It'd be really great, since a lot of what we see of these modern iterations suggests either don't know they're tied together from the past, or (like in Toko's case) don't care to believe. I guess I just really want to see the new Kamado siblings fight demons with their descendant/reincarnation pals.
