Honestly I don't think he cares for his dead girlfriend anymore. It feels as if the whole premise of jagasaki supposed to die after all frenzied forgs are consumed and he gets to grant 1 wish was completely forgotten. I'm not sure if after defeating the current antagonist will mean the end of the comic completely, but might as well be along for the ride

I'm 20 chapters in and about to drop this bros. Correct me if I'm wrong: He was sick of everyone around him (his girlfriend, co-workers, those dumb kids on the streets), bored to death, and faked his smiles as if it's his part-time job at this point right? So, how come the guy who daydreamed about shooting them all, ended up living for his ded girlfriend? Fall for his co-worker? Didn't he want to live free, without those shackles? Why the f he created new ones on his own accord?
