i wouldn't say she's being selfish just because she decided not to marry him- she had an opportunity to leave and she took it, it's what she's been trying to do the entire story.
U tell me then , the fact is she really loves him and that to way too much. I would have also runned away it I was her but I think she won't be able to live happily on seeing the fact that the person whom she loved is Living a hell life with juien . I think somewhere she won't be able to live happily even after running. I also have a feeling that that priest guy is also hinting him the fact that she should not run away and face things properly
