Well, both mothers are indeed crazy, and what they did is beyond justifying with reasons. But if you read between everything, the story isn't really just about that.
Personally, I like the main characters... The uke was both cool and charming, it's sad that he wasn't given the right to be 'normal' or have the choice that others had, he maybe sad for that part... Yet he trying his best to live his life as he wants and able, to its fullest. And the Seme on the other hand is optimistic and honest, I think his a good match for the Uke, who's life seems more trapped.
The author gave the characters a bit extreme of a character setting, yet that's all it is. I didn't like the settings of this story, since it's definitely wrong! But I do like the story development and the characters, cuz it has both positive and negative sides that makes it a good story.
