its not that they like him cause he's a girl now its that they can have kids and a future
But he didn't say that he would stay with him anyway or did I miss that? It sounded like "If you turn back into a boy it's over".
Even if you can't have children you can still have future.
So... it's only good if he is a girl? That's too sad. At least tell him you would love him anyway. Then it woud actually be his choice to stay as a girl.
