Stop throwing that word around, dude. it's gonna lose its meaning. It's just a term, OP didn't remember the characters' names so they used a common term we all use. Doesn't mean they're fetishizing gay men

Saying a word once doesn’t make it loose it’s meaning. Anyways, yeah I do think “uke” and “seme” is a odd term to use when referring to someone because they literally mean “bottom” and “top”. Imagine saying it in English. Would you refer to a character as a bottom or top? No. And maybe you would, that’s on you though. Personally I don’t think it’s fetishized if you use it in the right context. However, referring to someone as “uke” or “seme” in the way the comment I replied to used it, is wrong. It’s fine if they didn’t know their name, but they could at least know something to refer to them to rather than “top” or “bottom”. I understand where you’re coming from, and I am by no means saying that they fetishize gay men, that’s not what I meant at all. I just wanted to inform them that they could have used a different name to call the character.

I see a lot of people use that term instead of the names so why only my post is the problem here? If me using that term is a “wrong” then im sorry then. I dont know that using uke and seme is such a big issue now
