I get that rape victims have to take their to heal and recover from their trauma. But seriously? People are here defending her?! For fucks sake, she's clearly using him, and she's aware of it. She recovered well and while I understand that once you get raped, it's difficult to tell others you have.
The MC is just as stupid for not telling the police the whole story as well as destroying the phone. And don't give me "Its not his story to tell" bullshit. He WITNESSED a rape and took action to help which is fine. But if he remained silent its just as toxic as committing rape and he would be an accomplice to the rape.
