Also I can already see people complain this volume lacks direction. But the issue this volume is tackling in their development was stated in the first chapter.

The issue is senpai doesn’t value he and Morinaga’s limited time together. Because Morinaga is always working hard to come home so often. But now we can see that Morinaga having to leave early and them not spending the weekend together that senpai was anticipating is going to make senpai realise how much he takes for granted their time spent together.

He is feeling lonely without Morinaga, which Isogai picks up on. Him coming to value his time with Morinaga a lot more is development in their relationship, particularly since it’s kind of long distance relationship now, and the issue of valueing each others time is a issue all long distance relationships deal with at some point. Senpai has always taken his time with Morinaga for granted because Morinaga has always worked hard to be by his side. It’s good for him to learn to realise how much he was taking it for granted and for that to change.
