And you can't say that that Hinduism and Buddhism always becomes punching bags cause in the manga, its not solely about these two. Let's not forget that there are other religions being mentioned in this story. Your viewpoint is a little too warped and focused on what you want to see, not what's actually there.

They live in fear everyday thinking what if one day, people come and burn their house down? Killing their loved ones, rape their kids? They have to use their hard earned money to pay for trying to get into school, where it should be a right. And that everyone else could get into a school. Why are they denied that right? They have to pay a fee, everytime random people come harassing them, where the money could have been used to feed their family. They live having to put their head down and endure everything. Those who never experienced injustice will say this is fake. The heartbreak in the parents eyes knowing that their childrens have to live a life in fear(which is fucking emotionally devastating) you'll be shy, meek, a push-over. You'll have trust issues. I never said islam did the bombing. Blame the action not the religion. Like i said just cause you never heard of it doesnt mean it isnt real. Do you tell a hate crime victim, their pain isn't valid? If you dont know how hurt they feel from unfairness due to circumstances please dont gaslight me. I never felt safe anywhere. But the thing that messed me up the most is seeing my parents being submissive towards the harassers. They were my symbol of authority and respect. I felt betrayed. I felt if they have to submit, they cant protect me. I never went out. I stay locked up in my house, i always lay low and keep a low profile. I live live trying to not stand out. To not be different. How i wish that i wasnt born different. That i dont feel so trapped. Its a constant pressure in my chest, and it makes me choke. I hated my skin color, the shape of my eyes, and seeing other people family being free and happy just made my self-pity even worse. Where people would spent their weekends with their family outside or in playgrounds. I would huddle with my family and thank the lord that nothing bad happened to us and we are safe and sound.
This is the money that my parents sacrifised over, not sleeping for days, stressing, they definitely had no right to take it to satisfy their wallets and spend it carelessly. How would you feel if your hard earned money is taken away for no reason other than satisfying their needs? The money that you needed to pay the bills, have a roof over your head? Its not indonesian muslim fault. Generalising people is the start of discrimination. I know of the uyghur genocide that is why i put china as an example of prejudice. Myanmar too. I hope for the best to all discriminated people. Humans are equal.

Well what are you expecting from a country whose religion is from india but they treat as if indian Buddhists gods are japanese so just chill and don't expect much in depth knowledge about hinduism they just see indian gods as freeky and weird
I will start by saying I am an Atheist because I know I will be called a blind religious zealot anyhow. So, I love depictions of Gods in different subjective Art forms. However, I do refrain from 'touching on' existing Religions as people get triggered and some get 'hurt' so I rather avoid useless confrontation to make my life easier.
I was looking forward to this when I read the first chapter then got disappointed cause they included Hindu Gods while excluding Christianity and Islam as usual. I can see why as Christians get triggered and let you know they are triggered while Muslims will probably end up beheading or blowing up the Author at his own home. While Hindus would be more like Christians but a little bit milder in their getting 'triggered'.
The other religion whose followers are relatively chill are Buddhists so again, of course the Author included Buddha. Every other Religion and Gods depicted are from Older and 'Dead' religions like the Greek and Norse Mythology.
It bumps me out that the Author is okay to depict the Oldest/First Religion in the World, Hinduism and even put his own 'twist' on their backstories and 'power levels' (He also got a lot of details very wrong on the Gods of Hinduism) while not trying to depict Islam and Christianity and their 'Gods' in the same vein. I know I am gonna get a hate for this but look at the situation. I am not saying Religion/s should be exempted from criticism or subjective art however it clear here that in Present times, Hinduism and Buddhism always becomes the 'punching bag' while Christianity and Islam gets a 'Pass'.
