I don't believe VF simply excuses the rapes because of love (at the time). It took a long time for their relationship to develop from simply lust and a lot of Asami saving Akihito and trust building. I wouldn't go so far to say he was actually in love with him during their first meeting, but he definitely intrigued him. After that he was possessive towards him and eventually the feelings grew. Attraction doesn't always mean love at first site.
Exactly this. Sexual attraction does not equal romantic attraction, but obviously from the progress of the manga it's definitely grown into that.
I don't think Viewfinder excuses the rapes because of love either. I was saying I didn't like the stories in which the uke forgave the seme some time later the rapes because they suddenly fell in love with the seme, and the seme can think then "I was right to rape him because now we're together and in love".
However, I think Asami started to fall in love with Akihito when Aki stuck his tongue at him, after his escape. I don't think he's a rapist. I think he wanted Akihito because Aki teased him wildly the first moment they met (Asami's men were even stunned by their boss unusual laugh, and when Asami thought about Akihito, he thought his heart was pounding like he was chasing a wild animal). And what Asami wants, he gets it.
Do you think Kanou from Okane ga Nai and Asami similar? They have a similarity as a CEO, businessman, mafia, and possessive lover, right?
Also both uke doesn't have a power in front of his seme. lol
