Yes, I know. What I'm saying is, BL CAN POSSIBLY only focus on the romance between the two characters, with little to no depictions of sex. Yaoi on the other hand, is a story OR smth like one shots that has depictions of sex.
Now, BL can have vague signs of sex, but not to the point where it is truly shown that the characters are doing the deed.

BL is classified into 2 (or rather 3?) categories, shounen-ai, yaoi (not necessary has sex, can have a gore or another disturbing 18+ contents), and bara (spefically targeted for actual gay people).
So you must be specific when you mention BL, whether it is shounen ai, yaoi, or bara.
So yeah, BL is yaoi and yaoi is BL. End of discussion.

Also, if you had searched for korean & chinese novels, you would find the BL categories (both in ridibooks and syosetu) were full of your descriptions of both BL and Yaoi. Which mean BL is either be full of sex and also have no sex at all.

I thought that BL is the new term for shounen-ai. caz shounen-ai isn't as used as the old days, and my friends use BL to describe a story that focuses on the relationship of the characters.
