I think she actually knew there were eyes on her, thus, ate the pill stealthily. Towards the end of the chapter, they mentioned that the eyes are gone, so I think they are aware of it.
i think she took that poison jena made and ¨got sick¨ because she noticed people were watching her so after the doctor came and the crown prince asked if she was really sick and weak and the doctor said she was really weak the crown prince ordered that the people watching her leave (because if she is so weak there is no way she can do any assassin work) and that´s why jena says at one point ¨the eyes are gone¨ referring in my opinion to the people watching her in her room
