athanasius was already impure from the beginning, Lucas already saw that he was being consumed by impure magic and wasn’t suitable for the throne. Ch.78 Aeternitas was the strongest Emperor in history. Lucas refused the child him then had slept for over 200 years.. Somehow Aeternitas later has possessed Anastacius, turned him from a kind-hearted bro of Clade into a nasty guy.[Ch.73]
I don’t wanna blame Lucas or anything. But from Ch.83, it seems like all the mess which caused Claude & Athy die terribly in the 1st life and were still suffered badly in this life, just because Lucas turned down the young Aeternitas in Ch.78. #－.－)
Then it became something like "The Butterfly Effect".
