What the fuck just happen!!!!!!! I dont understand someone please tell meee!!!!!!

Satoru finds their mother forcing Tooru to have sex with her while brainwashing him to never leave the house (the seventh thing Tooru's sorry for) so Satoru beats her up into a coma. He ends up in jail for it because he didn't want to confess what really happened since revealing it would damage Tooru. BUt since Tooru cares about and loves Satoru so much as well, he decided to confess himself so Satoru can be released if not immediately, at least earlier.
