but tbh we only got small bits of information about the "original novel", so it may not be as we thought. also, the ori!jennette and jennette in this timeline are NOT the same person. sum sort of parallel world thing.
and claude never liked to be with athy in the "novel" cause her mana made him uncomfortable, while jennette's mana comforted him. so I'm pretty sure claude treated jennette as some sort of medicine and not a daughter. of course, this is just a theory of mine, but it seems most likely.
and the ori!athy was timid af due to being the abandoned princess for so long; he probably already knew she wouldn't have the guts to do something like that, but he killed her anyway cause his heart is frozen, she reminds him of diana AND her mana makes him uncomfortable :/

So I like Jeanette but one thing I notice is that In the past when Jeanette was Claude’s favorite she didn’t try to include athy it was always her and Claude and she could’ve seen that Claude doesn’t treat athy nicely she could’ve done something which could’ve resulted in them being some what close not as close as them but still to the point where he know that athy would have never tried to kill her if she did that athy would still being alive —- but when the places were swap athy tried to include Jeanette in her plans within her dad when she didn’t have to tell Claude to respond back to Jeanette when he was ignoring her and etc
