Here is a question...

Hmmm... Well it's all psychological so each case of that usually depends on the parents past/experience. Maybe they were raised poorly and transferred that to their children or it could be something else. It could relate to religion/morals as well; they accidently got pregnant but decided to keep the unwanted child and not give it up for adoption. There's also reputation and even money like child care. There's so many warped reasons that I find it hard to understand as well.

Some people are so fucked up, it depends of the parents education and values as well... if the parents priority is me myself and I, well their chldren will suffer

Silverchocobo and bakaotaku34 are both correct and it's also the fact that once they have children they realize the time ,effort and patience needed to raise children in my situation my step dad only knows how to spoil kids but he doesn't realize the consequence of that so he ignores them (my younger 1/2 brothers ) completely and eventually he'll start to neglect them as well
So it's me and my sister jobs to raise them , and feed them and clothed them and we're only 17 too

some just have some issues against genders. Since if it is a guy then they can take care of the family and all that stuff. It is truly bias ┗( T﹏T )┛

I can't agree with the people above 100%, but they are right on some points I believe. I suppose one of the most common reasons is, the parent themselves aren't mature enough to care for someone else. To put another before themselves, or to teach them the right things and realize that they do need some nurturing.

Maybe they do care but are working all day long because they are single parenting because the bastard of their father is with another women and stopped working just because he didn't want to give child support and they want the best for them(●￣(ｴ)￣●)

That's actually what's happening to me. Since that my mother wanted to divorced, my father changed a lot and is always with her and all. I'm happy that they are happy but they don't care anymore about us. My little sister's pretty much all the time at my grandmother's house but me and my other sister (older than me) noticed it since that we're not eating with them anymore (only when there is food). They are living on their own.
For me it's okay but my little sister need her parents, 5 years ago my dad cheated on my mom and it was really hard for us to see our mom cry. Even more for her, so I'm the one who take care of everyone.
No one care if it's hard for me to handle this at my age, that's lonely.

Don't worry ! It was more for the answer of someone else than for a personal answer about my life. (๑❛ᴗ❛๑) I just thought that 'cause my mom is quite a lot into religion stuff this could be plosible but even if they aren't close to their children, my parents won't be this stupid to make another child after me . Well my situation is slightly different so when I was like 5 months old my mom divorced my real dad because of violence so I never met him and she remarried my step dad when I was 4 or 5 yrs old so I love him like my real dad and like 8 yrs later he started cheating on my mom and my mom couldn't handle it so she left my dad after 1 year so she had to start working more hours

God, your mother should be really in a dark and sad moment of her life... hope you'll be with her to cheer her up ! And I hope that this don't affect you too much, too. :c

Exactly well I wasn't actually there for her my older sister was I kept on telling her the truth because she wanted to suicide her self I brought her a knife and told her go a head why don't you I mean is like we matter she got pissed at me and kept crying and so did my sis she also hit me (my sis did) but I hit her back and told her what was her problem that shouldn't we listen to my mom and help her out when she needs it most my mom got over it though
