please don't roast me for this, i'm genuinely trying to figure out my feelings for taesung but guys, doesn't he feel a little one-dimensional. his whole character is centured around haebom, since he literally was a kid. haebom this, haebom that. he went to the same college because of haebom. he only decided to mend his relationship with his mother because of haebom. he had so many reasons not to forgive her but he still did it because haebom wanted it. he breathes haebom and his world is haebom, which is all good and i'm fine with that but come on, i need more nuance to this character, i need to care, he's the second main character yet everything about him feels so empty he could easily blend in with the white background and nothing would feel amiss.
no offense to any fan of course, i do see potential but i really wish the author invested more into taesung's relationships with other people, his ambitions, his interests, his fears (other than losing haebom). friendships and family bonds are just as important as romantic ones. haebom is a lot more interesting because he has a significant other he cares about, he has a deceased family he still loves dearly, he has the mom who raised him as her own son, he has friends from college and a career he strives to excell in. He has taesung's dad who nags at his mind because of the fear of rejection. there's so much to him and it's sad i can't say the same about the second most important character in this story. it does not feel balanced at all.
again, please don't feel offended. you're so valid if he's your favorite. still i would love to hear your guys' opinion on taesung and why you love him so much, maybe i could be convinced to see him in a new light. thank you.
