I think Isis don't know Seth was drugged and Osiris used Anubis to threaten him that's why she's like that?
Anyway, She has a point tho. Why on earth Seth didn't tell her about it after the incident? Maybe bc of his man's pride. Why he imprisoned her and made her followers suffer tho? If you want her to be your side, you'll not do that in the first place? Seth, I love you but I wish he take consideration since Isis is not really Osiris accomplice at that time. Isis is also a victim. He even included her innocent followers for revenge.

    She knows but she's sht

She knew everything. Yet it's very likely she spent a long time, years, waiting for Seth to come clean, confide in her and tell her the truth, while she was his prisoner, and he never did. He just kept tormenting her, then imprisoned her in an underground labyrinth. He pressured her to sleep with him and never told her *why* he wanted her to do that, when he didn't even know that she knew, and up to Osiris' death both of them had had the closest to a *sibling-like* relationship of the whole bunch... She could've told him she knew, but who knows how he would have reacted? Like Seth himself said, he wasn't exactly sane.

i don't think she knew either. only person that seems to know almost everything - ooh actually two people - is sekhmet (and ra, the sun god; she's so sus but i still love her lol). and yea i agree with your whole second paragraph, it's a balanced take on what's going on. both are victims, isis is not worse than seth, especially given all the suffering he caused her and the innocent human she had under her wing.

typo fix: innocent humans* ...uh bc he killed more than one ( ̄∇ ̄")

Both are victims, yes, but in a sense Isis was technically both Osiris' *and* Seth's victim, lol. The first one lied and cheated on her, while the other tormented her etc.

Granted, Seth's tormenting of Isis may have been an indirect result of Isis' curse on him, but not in the way most people think: not due to the effect the curse may have had on Seth's relationship with Anubis, but on the effect it had on his relationship with Neftys... That is to say, since Seth's abuse on Isis was brought on by Seth's wish to be recognized as king, which in turn came from Seth's wish to prove his own strength to all the gods in general, and to Neftys in particular, then Isis cursing Seth to not have his family would mean that all his attempts at winning Neftys' back would fail, including the ones where he used the kingship and Isis as a means to prove his "worth" to Neftys... a failure which in turn would cause him to inflict a greater abuse on Isis... It's like an inevitable cycle of misfortune.

oooooh what an interesting take! ngl i dont know why, but at first i was hesitant to read your posts/replies - i am good at glossing over things ( ̄∇ ̄") - bc i really don't want to duke it out with another isis hater, but your thoughts are very well balanced and I'm always game to philosophize with another literature/myth nerd. glad to digitally meet you!
i totally agree about the cycle of misfortune. the older gods hurt each other and try to get back at each other in a never ending cycle of pain and vengeance. interestingly enough, i was chatting with another reader and they pointed out how horus is reacting so different from all of them. in him lies the new "hope for egypt" as he stops the cycle dead in its tracks.
you saying that she knew is def food for thought. kind of makes all of this even more tragic tbh because had they gotten together (as siblings/friends) at the right time, they could have dealt with osiris better. ...or maybe not, that man is like a cockroach - regardless of what he goes through, he pops up anywhere and everywhere - and greed/lust is mighty powerful.

Horus is the hope of Egypt, for sure!

BTW, I actually love all characters, Isis *and* Seth included. I find Osiris interesting, as a three dimensional villain. My only exception is Neftys... ...And I'm even starting to hesitate about that, as I suspect "Neftys" may just be clone of the real one, made by Osiris and forced by him to take part in all this (while the real one may have been trapped in the mirror to *protect her from having her life taken by Osiris*... rather than as a part of Osiris' scheme).

i like them all too! including osiris tbh but that's not something i can openly say here in this comment section without getting the wrath of the fujos (people don't bother to read before respoding). why do i like him? well because the real osiris was such a lovely archetype - the perfect father and husband. what did mojito have him go through to change his personality so drastically in their story? fascinating, i'm so curious.

I feel the same. A good story needs a "good" (worthy) villain. That's why Osiris exercises his own appeal as a well-crafted character. He reminds me a bit of the Joker in Batman the Dark Knight, as an equally memorable, fascinating, crazy and dangerously crafty nemesis, the kind that the audience doesn't easily ignore or forget. All the more reason why his drastic personality change would definitely be something for readers to get curious about, ever since Sekhmet said that the youner Osiris was a lot like Horus, as in a lot more naive, etc. I'm also really looking forward to learning more about him, since everything about him that we've seen so far feels like a bait that there's a lot more to his story than what we're being told about.

I don't really know which one should i reply but yeah, i love all of the characters here. Like how well mojito written them. That not all are innocent and they have bad side as well. I'm not saying only Isis is the victim. She's too a victim like Seth. In a way, the curse actually made the matter worse which is sad. Seth and Isis had really nice relationship before. Such a shame. I'm glad there are few people that appreciate this as story and don't only focus on the main bl pair. It just sad Isis get the bias hate bc of what she did. I mean, isn't Seth is the same? Σ( ̄□ ̄||)
