he was going to be reinstated at the company anyway because he was found innocent of the crime he was suspected of. Jung took advantage of the situation (told him that if he got the exclusive artist contract, that he would get him reinstated - when he didn't have the power to be able to do that - which was the reason he went to the boss's shop in the first place) and then orchestrated the whole thing so that he got all of the credit for signing up the artist exclusively without mentioning the fact someone else convinced the artist.

I think it means to get accepted back into the company.
reinstated in this situation means restoring things back to how they were before, so there was a problem at work where they thought he was involved in something illegal ( I think taking money from the company), it was resolved (it was his higher-ups and not him, so he was cleared as innocent), and so he was allowed to start going back to work again.
