basically yes. And Earth is just a playground where the "war between monarchs and rulers will happen."
monarchs or rulers (they're separate groups btw) tries to "borrow" a body by inserting a "fragment of light" in them. However, those bodies will disentigrate if there's too much power (cue Jinwoo's dad).
Jinwoo is different since the previous Shadow Monarch liked him and made him a successor. So yeah, he basically inherited all the powers and retained his own personality or ego. It was a miscalculated move by the creator.
So is it like the system getting a vessel for this shadow monarch but instead JinWoo maintained his ego and transfer didn't happen. And so Jinwoo got the power and now will be an enemy of other monarchs...?
