No!! you are wrong!! Asami is the best!! he went to find Akihito and use every thing that he can to get him back! but shouji ( whatever...) just leave him alone! Asami still got hurt because of Akihito and treats him well~~ still remember after he got back from all the commotion, he did not let Akihito go back to his country but let him relax and enjoy on forgetting the bad memory! having to smooth his emotion, asami gives him the best things!
You say that shouji has the heart qualities? I can say that asami had both!! the best and every qualities that a best man could have!
p.s. Shouji is just a bastard... abandoned the uke and walk out just like that..
Just do you know for HOW LONG TIME Shouji has taken care of his friend ?
Since their childhood ! And he never really had anything from the uke, not even sex or the slightest sign of love, Niki is a complete passive. While all the things Asami and Akihito did is mostly sex and lust !
I never felt affection and deep love between Asami and the reporter.
And I knew Viewfinder for long time ago to say to you this.
Shouji took care for his friend without really waiting something in return, knowing how is his friend, but he really loves him ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭... He left the guy also for his own good, because the Seme needs also love in his life and wanted this lazy cuty to grow a bit by himself.
We speak here about Shouji and Asami, but even if they have pretty much the same style, they're so differents from each other by their personality.
And the 2 pairings they form with their respective Uke is not comparable too.
Akihito is an independant and carefree character, and he also enjoys having sex, he's a toyboy.
Niki is a lazy and very dependant, sensible guy, and he's completely innocent towards sex (he's a virgin).
We can enjoy many stories like Viewfinder, but it's so rare to find a story like the one with Shouji and his useless yet adorable loved one.
When you want sex and lust, you go for a manga like Viewfinder.
And when you want true love romance, you go for I can't even breath without you.
I can't agree with you with this:
"When you want sex and lust, you go for a manga like Viewfinder.
And when you want true love romance, you go for I can't even breath without you."
I personally put Viewfinder as my top 3 favourite yaoi manga and this sentence you wrote had offended me. This manga contain love and affection and not simple sex and lust only. I also like the manga that you mentioned
( "I can't breath without you" ) and felt hurt when shouji left the uke. I also placed it in my list.
Continuing this conversation is just for fun but since you had cross the border and I felt offended so just stop.
Sorry if you feel hurt, but for me, Viewfinder is all about sex and lust that's all.
If I were find romantism in the manga of Sensei Ayano Yamane, I will simply tell it.
For exemple, I find the Foreign love affair of Yamane even more romantic than Viewfinder.
You'll keep your opinion, and I'll keep mine ;)
Don't be offended. It's just that the romance in Viewfinder is more complex than the romance here. Not everyone is going to get it, and that's too bad for them.
Considering Asami and Akihito haven't had sex for eleven chapters and counting--and in fact, that last sex scene wasn't even played out on the page, so it's really been more like fourteen chapters since readers have been treated to a full blown sex scene--Viewfinder readers are either the most extraordinarily patient sex fiends in the world or maybe--just maybe--they're reading because of the compelling story and the complex relationship.
You obviously haven't read past the first chapter or you'd know you don't know what you're talking about.
I've read the first volumes of Viewfinder, but don't have the patience, like you maybe, to read it and the eyes to find tender love in this manga.
All is about sex, it's my opinion.
Btw, I don't like so much the way Akihito is shown, just like a toyboy... So for me, I've dropped the reading of Viewfinder.
Everyone is free to have his, her preferences, don't try to persuade me...
I agree with you. Shouji ftw! Viewfinder starts with rape. No thank you. I did read the entire thing and at some point it feels like a different manga than the beginning. But I personally still hate all Akihito's victimization. It makes it too uncomfortable. Regardless, viewfinder has some intense fans so I won't say anymore.
IKR ? lol.
Do you know how the serie Viewfinder started ?
Well, the Senseis were given a contest to draw a one-shot about SM as thema. The rule was : to give the possibility for the winner to make a serie. And Sensei Yamano won ^^ That's why the following chapters of Viewfinder was soften (surely because the beginning was so violent, rape, SM...) in order to fit Asami more in the image of a charming prince for the Fangirls who also need romantism ! All that I know it for long ago.
@NeedyNiki :
About Akihito, for my part, not only the victimization I dislike TBH.
What I dislike the most is this way he's always treated by other men (included Asami), and his careless reaction after, like it was NOTHING happened to him... WTF ? Lol. Also the fact that he's always sexually by other men for whatever the reasons, and obviously don't feel hurt after... -_-'
However, we should take Viewfinder for just it is : entertainment.
I know how good is the drawing of Yamane, that's why her long series like shorter yaoi have this success... But about Viewfinder, I'm not convinced about the romantism. But, yeah, let's not hurt the passion of the fans ^^
I agree. Akihito is a constant victim of many. But he is crazy resilient. It makes no sense.
Shouji looks like Asami from Viewfinder!
