The mature scenes definitely add to the story and relationship of the characters. They also add a bit of characterization to Wolf and Shin. During the non-mature scenes you can see how much Shin is leading Wolfgang and calling the shots, but in the bedroom it's the opposite. Shin is completely enveloped in Wolfgang.
