Maybe author wants to go on hiatus and leave the story on a cliffhanger. I believe she took time off in January last year, so maybe that's the case again. Perhaps she didn't want to progress the story beyond the certain point before the hiatus.
This is a wild guess though, I honestly have no idea.
Though I also agree that the length of the current scene and the agony is for us to feel Seungho's lowest moment.
That being said, I truly hope for more significant progress next chapter.
The author is trying to make this story as long as possible. I understand it’s all about benefits in this world. I used to love this story so much and be excited for every Friday but now, after so many pointless chapters, I don’t really know what am I hoping for in this manhwa anymore
