The thing that bothers me most: the guy behaves like he is asexual, but in reality he is ... bi? Hetero? Gay? it's not specified. But one thing is sure: he has some trauma, that's the ONLY reason that he doesn't want sex. Asexuals get constantly stigmatized like this: you have a trauma, there is something wrong with you, you're crazy, weak, afraid. And this manga is not helping. That said, it's a story and who cares. I like the other work of the author a lot. This story is rather underwhelming though.

But the story didn't clearly state that he is asexual tho and it was only the readers that said he was asexual. Or was it specifically mentioned in the previous chapters? Idk. I don't remember.

Anyway, I agree with you it was kinda underwhelming.

It wasn't stated, but that's the thing: He behaves like he is. Imagine a manga where a guy sleeps around with another guy only because he was molested as a child. So he is sick and has a trauma and "behaving" gay is the result of a messed up brain when in reality he likes girls. Everyone would be mad. In this story behaving asexual is the result of a messed up brain. The guy isn't asexual and I knew that from the start. This is yaoi after all. Still it leaves a bitter taste in your mouth. Not to mention that such a story would work better with the other guy being more sensitive and caring. But he is mostly horny and a tiny bit perverted. The result is a porn story with characters with messed up background stories. It could be much more. The author can do better. I read yesterday her other manga for hours and was deeply touched. This one I will drop now.

Um the hot college guy Shii slept with "suggested" that the friend might be asexual based on what Shii told him. It was never clear. Teenagers often struggle with their identity in itself and then you bring sexuality into it. Honestly not every one is clear on such issues. Trauma complicates it even further. If it leads to the feeling numb or indifferent about sex they might be labelled as asexual. But what is asexual really? Is there a specific definition, as in this is definately how one has to be in order to be called asexual?

Although trauma at a young age can lead to schizophrenia or dissociative disorders. Those things can also be hereditary or can be developed from drugs or head injury so one doesnt have to go through trauma. Its just common. Although head injury is trauma Im hoping you understand in what context.

Just to make clear - asexuality is sexual orientation - NOT A DISEASE NOR DISORDER!
It is nor 'created because of trauma'. And yes, it has definition. And no it is not about having sex or not.

This manga is not about not having sexual desires but the exact opposite. He clearly has sexual desires but he is denying it and hate it...

I still haven't given me a definition and I was not implying that it was a mental disorder or a disease. Perhaps I should have stated that I am called asexual by others and also told that its due to trauma. Infact I've been told many things but Im hardly bothered by what others say and why should you.
