Cause the story was mostly just about the romance of Jeanette and her life in the palace. It never went as deep as what is currently happening
No because she only read the story from Jenettes pov, the dead brother didn't show up in what she read, and the visions she got from claude dying are events that probably happened after the book ended or from a continuation of the book that she didn't get to read. "The Abandoned Empress" title for the book also probably pertains to Athy not Jennette, since Jennette is not Claude's real daughter. This is mostly just my speculation tho,,, ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
She was basically the athy in the past, so you could say that the knowledge she got from reading the 'novel' was actually just her 'past memories' when she was the 'past athy' . I think that's why in 1 of the chapters, she got confused and forgot how the story in the novel ended since she already died and did not know what happened afterwards.
