No they don’t? What are you talking about? I was talking about main characters and stuff or major side characters. If there is a white person, it’s usually like a trope and stuff, which I don’t think would be accepted if they did that with a black character, since that would send Twitter haywire.

ummmm the whole of attack on titan is based in Germany.... the characters are all white. sure there are not many white main characters but there are MANY major side characters that are white. what do you think they mean when they say "foreigner" ?? the amount of black characters in anime can be counted on my hands.. there are also many white characters in manga and webtoons mostly but I have no problem with that, us black people could care less really.. just let the creator do what they want

No, I was talking about the foreigner trope. Like, whenever there’s an American character, they have a like a really… idk how to describe it but it’s like a person saying French people are all “bonjour bonjour baguette” if you know what I mean XD that’s what I basically meant and stuff, and how Twitter would probably not like that of it was done for a black character since it highly relies on stereotypes then.


Also, I see what you mean. However, there are hundreds of anime and manga that aren’t like that too. And, since it’s set in germany(not modern Germany either), there isn’t a high likely chance of a black person being in the setting. Though, it’s also a fantasy world so what do I know lol.

there actually was a black person in attack on titan and one of characters asked "why is your skin so dark?" they acknowledged his blackness it even became a meme.. the black person came from Africa, he even had an African name (the setting was when they were in war with other countries, you'd have to watch it to understand) but yeah

I lost interest in aot after the long wait so I don’t really remember much. I don’t watch a lot of the big ones anymore either and I mostly read manga now. Anyway, I don’t think we’re fighting or arguing about anything? So I’ll just end the convo since there’s not really anything for me to comment on lol
