there are so many ways to interpret it. we see someone who looks like isobe in the end kissing someone who looks like past satou. this could reference in the beginning where isobe wants to kiss satou but she doesn’t let him. that affects everything in their relationship. it changes it to being only a physical relationship. in the end we see that isobe has fallen for another girl, and satou is thinking back to what could have happened if she had let isobe kiss her. you always want what u don’t have until it’s gone. ┗( T﹏T )┛
