what is that japanese dessert that? those different coloured balls? xd is it django or something? i cant find resept cuz idk whati should search cuz i dont remember its name XD they look like this

    oh i foun it it was dango and there is many kinds of thems... does anyone know which is good? mitarahi, normal or some other? (⌒▽⌒)

    Those are dango. They are made out of a dough called mochi, which uses rice flour as its base. There are many variations, so sometimes they aren't colorful, but white-colored with a sauce that tastes like very sweet teriyaki sauce drizzled over them.

    I have never eaten dango before., but Mitarashi dango looks simple enough to make.. Why don't try to make your own recipe., like with brown sugar glazed dango or something? Well, make the original one is good, too..
    Ugh., thinking about that makes me hungry..

    Ahh, I should've mentioned this earlier. I actually have very little experience in the kitchen, so I may be wrong. What I said was second hand info from my friends that like to bake. They call the flour 'mochi flour' so I assumed mochi was the dough. But I don't think calling dango 'mochi' is inaccurate, since it's basically mochi on a stick. It's just less specific.

    I looked up the difference...and apparently they're completely different but very similar? Lol ones a rice cake and ones a thing made from rice flour...mochi is typically filled. I don't know...

    ah okay :D so dango is made of mochi thats made of rice and thats why it can be called mochi too.

    lol I was curious too. I've made dango and called it mochi but I think its one of those things where people call it mochi but that's actually incorrect? Or its like a new york cheesecake vs a no-bake cheese cake...

    :D mm yeah might be... i cooked dangos (or mochis xd) today.. i didnt have rice flour so i had to boil rice and then "smash " them with tofu and i didnt boil the balls i fried them instead cuz rice would just float in water...well if i had have used rice float it would probaply have tasted better...XD but with caramel sauce it was okay :D (⌒▽⌒)
