But like chapter ago there were flashbacks which made the situation clear: at first Taku saw Haesoo as interesting subject, another candy partner, with whom he can play with... He wanted to see how Haesoo would react after he dissapeared and it's reflection in his writing...one of the reasons why he didn't tell him about the comeback to Japan... But in the meanwhile he caught genuine feelings.
But at first his intentions weren't good. He used nice words and comforted Haesoo because he wanted to get closer to him

I dont really think Taku's a manipulator. I think it's just his way of shooting his shot. he knew from the very beginning that he doesn't have a chance yet he risked his emotions and feelings for someone and something that's uncertain. I understand him because I think he knew this would happen from he very start but he went on with it anyway, because he wants to feel like Haesoo feels the same way for him. I also don't think that Haesoo completely used Taku to "get over" Joowon. Haesoo had his reasons why he dived into Taku's "offer" because it's what he thought was best for him and Joowon because they are step-brothers(to ''try'' and fall in love with anoyher guy), and yet he failed. I know we can all agree that these 3 had their fair share of guilt and pain. Joowon and his impulsiveness yet I can't deny that he become so patient with Haesoo.
anyway, Haesoo can play ghostin by miss kween ariana grande bc he can prolly relate to that song at this point.
