this is the only logical plot.
I think after she was executed, something horrible happened to the world bc the other girl was a fake that brings disaster as said in the prophecy. And then the dad understood what happened and turned back time
he prolly discovered the other girl was a fake and was distraught that he killed his real kid so he resorted to black magic.
Maybe some last minute of clarity? like whatever spell the fake put on him may have worn off??

Remeber when her dad had like a dream of her being executed, I think he’s the one who preserved her memories. But he doesn’t remember. But i’m curious as to why he wanted to do that I mean he’s the one who got her executed.
