Let's talk Shin

So, what I got from this chapter is that Shin is very self conscious. He's trying to create his "ideal world", one where everything is "perfect", meaning that he himself must be "perfect" as well in order to meet these ideals.

Being with Wolfgang must ruin this ideal world, like how in real life, there are still people who can't accept homosexuals. So, assuming that this also applies here, more people would probably be more accepting of a heterosexual relationship rather than a homosexual one, making a heterosexual relationship "ideal" for the king to have in Shin's perspective.
You also have to remember that Shin does care about Wolfgang, a lot. He fears any harm that may come to Wolfgang, Shin's "perfect world" would theoretically keep Wolfgang safer, which is probably why Shin would see his "ideal world" as "perfect".
Though, it probably won't end up that way.

This is just what I took from this chapter and the past chapters, feel free to oppose this idea and tell me about what you think. ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
