I didn't know that this was actually something that exists like I had a bit of a knowledge (correct me if I am wrong) that women can have penis or something like that. See all this is making me think that we might be closer to an omegaverse world.
Ci Nian is intersex which is a condition where your born with characteristics of both genders. It is actually possible for intersex people to be born with both a uterus and penis. (Yes even in irl) it sounds fake but unfortunately it is an actual medical condition. I don’t know much about it but most intersex people tend to be infertile and cannot have children (a small majority of them can). They also tend to be on hormonal medication depending on the sex the parents chose. (Most parents tend to choose the sex where they have the most physical characteristics/most hormonal characteristics). That being said if this story was scientifically accurate Ci Nian would be likely be infertile.
However this condition is more common than you think (still very rare) so please be kind understand that these people tend to have very difficult struggles, and please just enjoy the story for what it is.
