I remember a story like that. The uke had light hair and glasses and the seme had dark hair and he was popular. So like long time ago maybe 5-6 years ago, I read a yaoi manga which I really did like but now I don't remember the title of it. Here is what it is about:
Two high school boys, one who is pretty popular (A) starts befriending a tall "lame-o"/aloof guy with glasses (B).
A falls in love with B, and doesn't confess. For some reasons B will get a haircut and stops wearing glasses. B becomes very popular in class, and A gets lonely cause they never spent time. (They fought a bit) Then somehow A accidentally confesses to B and voila all happy ending.
