I mean I get what you’re saying, but I also feel that mitsuhikos reaction was actually something that is really important to understand. As a sex worker, ppl tend to call them a whore or a slut and believe that it’s more fine to rape them than it would be to rape anyone else. Mitsuhiko shows just how horrible the life of a sex worker is, to the point that he doesn’t even realize how bad he has it. He’s grown numb to it. I don’t just think this is normalizing it, by actually bringing attention to just how bad it is. (Ofc this isn’t the same for all sex workers, just something that we should think about)
I know that the story is cute ‘n all, but let’s look at the reality that Mitsuhiko experience raped before, especially gangrape and he just bushed it off like it was normal, but it’s not.
