First Timeline
Cecilia is the Emperor childhood friend, he suddenly announce the engagement and make her the Empress so the Duke couldn't do anything about it, He used his power to force the Emperor to take Veronica/Elena as the Queen, and then the Duke slowly poisoned the Empress.
The real Veronica actually already awake long before that, but since Elena did a better job than all she ever could, she just let Elena do all the works. The real Veronica is just spoiled rich brat, she neither elegant nor smart, and very bad tempered and violence, she is dumb too. Even in the second timeline all she does is 'Daddy, the Emperor insult the mighty me, kill him and bring me his head, I'm gonna step on it'
The Emperor hated Veronica/Elena at first. cause the real Veronica is a bitch since she was young, but later he overheard Ren threatened Elena and investigated the matter. And found out the truth that she is a substitute and real Veronica alive and knew that Elena would someday be killed if she no longer useful, so he keep treating her coldly but he is drawn to her cause she is very different from the real Veronica.
After the Empress 'Cecilia' died, there is a moment he got sick and then Elena came to his room and he ask her 'Who are You' (he mean it literally, cause he don't know her real name), Elena pretended to be the dead Empress, and they kiss and sleep together, and she got pregnant. the Emperor distanced himself cause he know after the baby is born, Elena would be killed, he secretly build an escape route for Elena, but Elena didn't trust him, she goes to the duke instead then she got killed like in Chapter 1. After Elena got killed, the Emperor killed the real Veronica and then the duke killed the Emperor..

Second Timeline
Elena disguised as Lucia going around collecting talented individual who would make a big change in the future for her business center plan. her first target is Raphael, there in his workshop she met with Cecilia and later the ML (forget his name). Elena draw the picture of her baby and when the ML saw that he cries for no reason. Elena spend her academy life being bullied by Ren and tried to avoid the ML since she didn't want to fall in love with him again. Ren suspected that Lucia is Veronica, so he always bothered Lucia then the ML would came to the rescue (cliche, I know). Then some romance here and there but Elena always draw her line, they more like a partner. She gives advice to the ML how to balance the power, since the Duke has power over the Aristocrat and the imperial family nothing more than his puppet, the ML should seek the commoner support, thus the ML rather than stay low like in first timeline to avoid the nobles eyes, he show off his skill and talent, he is the strongest sword master alongside Ren and the bodyguard (forget his name, I read too many Isekai novel). Later Elena confessed to the bodyguard she is not the real Veronica but the bodyguard didn't care, the one he swore his loyalty is Elena.
After she graduated from Academy, Elena work together with Emilio, the real Lucia father's to start a business, she collect fund from investor using Veronica name but transfer the money in her alias 'L'. She build an art, business, shopping center. Ren found out that the duke still buy the herbs to neutralized the poison and the secret mansion, he met with Elena and say they could join hand to take the Duke down. The real Veronica awake, so to buy time for Elena the ML hold an Empress competition, Elena won the first and second round so the Duke would postponed the plan to kill her.
The Blue haired found out about Elena acting as 'L' who ruined all the Duke business plan, so she assassinated Elena, but Ren and the ML came to the rescue. the blue haired would end up in the jail. Then Elena live as 'L', she is already rich by this point, she gave money to the ML, to replace the Duke people in the palace with his own people. The ml father 'the Emperor; invite her to the palace, he want to give her a noble title but she refused, he also ask her to became the Empress but she refused too, she would help the ML but that's it.
The real Veronica appeared, after that it became a child play where she tried to sabotaged Elena business every now and then, and again Ren and the ML came to the rescue. The nobles who Elena took their money from using Veronica name began to protest to the real Veronica, and she just ignored them, so the Duke began to lose the nobles support and his money too but it's not enough to take the Duke down. so the Emperor asked Elena to create an opportunity so the Duke would commit treason. Elena order the bodyguard to gather mercenary and act as bandit who stole from the nobles only. the Local army couldn't handle the bandit so they ask the imperial Army for support. the ML and the Imperial Army than left the palace, it would be a perfect chance for the Duke to rebel since the palace is empty. The Emperor promised Elena he would take refugee while the Duke raided the palace, the Emperor lied. He sacrificed himself, only if he died, the ML would have a justifiable reason to take all the aristocrat down and restore the imperial power. After the Emperor died, the battle between the Duke and the three strongest sword master began, it's anti climatic since it take all the three to defeat the Duke alone.
After everything is over, Elena would search her parents and visit them, then the ML would proposed to her and they live happily ever after.

Damnnnn she should have trusted the emperor. I wonder when she gets to know that the emperor loved her too in the past life cuz I think she is misunderstanding that he never liked her.
