for me, i feel like miwa and saeko’s relationship is something that wasn’t built to last in the first place. from the moment they started dating, i felt that they were dating just for the sake of it. of course that kind of thing happens in real life too, where you get together despite not feeling that connection for each other. you just kind of hope you begin to love each other at some point. i feel that maybe in order for these two to end up together in the end, they need to mature independently. whether the maturing comes from a relationship with other people or not.
in the first chapter as well, it seems that they are going to break up eventually. i wonder how this will affect both of them, since it’s very transparent that they like/love each other in a way. but i went back to the first chapter and it seems that at that point, they were both ready to break up. i can’t wait to see how it unfolds.
