The editor's personality is annoying and is pretty dissonant. He's like a doormat to both the white guy and the 'expert'. And I bet he is being played for like a fool by Seori. Everyone seems to have issues. And while the plot and the conflict is interesting, I feel like the 'explanations' that the expert is giving AND the scary things happening around them is contrived.
