there is an epic showdown between ML & evil lady. MC also helps God come down to help ML fight evil lady. The Evil lady has the help from the evil god- that's why god is coming down to interfere.
ML sends MC off to her country since his country isn't safe...
ML takes a few years to purge the evil cult/magicians from his land. then he sends a marriage proposal to MC's dad. the proposal gets sent back/rejected...MC is getting sad that ML stopped responding to her letters...

May be it's because I'm girl (n I do believe FLs always get the short end of the stick in stories) but I always hope the FL is a little harsh on ML (provided the ML behave as an asshole some or all the time) not all kya kya and always forgiving~
