Him being part human and part monster is who he is. Disregarding any one part of him is like disregarding he character. He believes he needs to be perfect to hide his weaker human side, but having the fl acknowledge his human side makes him stronger inside. So by calling his "generic/basic" human part useless in the story's plot you are completely missing the point of the story and you should maybe put aside your prejudices to understand the characters better.( • - • )/
yeah idk if you're not interested in smooching the monster man as, yknow, a monster man, then i dunno why you'd be interested in a romance featuring a monster man in the first place. some girls be like "i'd rather kiss a pretty boy" and other girls (and Guillermo del Toro) be like "let me kiss the MONSTER dangit"
Y'all Basic Bitches: OMG he turns into a HUMAN! So HAWT!
Me: Ugh. He turns into a human. *YAWN*
Look, I came to this manga for a monster/human ship. Not a sometimes monster turns into a generic pretty boy/human.
