You do realize that those habits die hard, right? Do you think his wife is secure in her place especially while pregnant? Some mothers avoid sex during pregnancy for the sake of the baby and in Japan it is practically a taboo for the first six months and the last two. So, Maki get's thirty days of sex out of ten months. Do you honestly believe Maki won't use another man's ass just like he did Hayama while his wife is "on hiatus"? His character is fundamentally flawed. That won't change if he is with a man or a woman. If you can imagine a future for Hayama and Namikawa, the same imagination would naturally flow to Maki as well. You also must realize that each comment left is made by a person who has just read, or reread, the story and they are venting the frustrations they feel over Maki's behavior. If you're okay with "all's well that ends well" that's great. Others obviously don't share your outlook.

I would just like to make one point, he isn't a sex addict. He ill survive a couple of months without sex. But I agree with your last paragraph.

How do you come to THAT conclusion? Because he wasn't sleeping with Hayama? Think more carefully and more selfishly - like Maki. He came back to Hayama occasionally because those were the times his girlfriend wasn't giving him any sex. Maki had been seeing both the girlfriend and Hayama for quite some time, the seme remembers how Hayama reacted to Maki inviting his girlfriend to a party a year before the seme met Hayama. He selfishly kept Hayama around until he couldn't anymore without losing his baby factory and/or his reputation. He was ALSO cheating on his girlfriend and even invited her to a party at the home he shared with the person he was cheating on her with! Sexual addiction is not required to be a cheater. An average healthy sex drive and a selfish personality are all you need. Maki has both.

Innocence is truly a gift, one that you have and, honestly, I envy you for it. However, naivete will get you crushed like a grape in the real world. I'm not saying that to be mean or insult you. You seem like a genuinely good person, but if you assume only the best about even the worst kinds of people, they will take advantage of you, use you up and toss you aside like so much used toilet tissue. Ask me how I know. Jaded, cynical and distrustful people like me don't start out life like this. We start out innocent and naive, just like you. The reason I'm telling you this is because I'd like to see you retain your innocence but lose your dangerous naivete and the best way to do that is to believe what the cynical, jaded and distrustful people say when they warn you about the behaviors of others. The chances that they have experienced the pain and hardship themselves are pretty high. "The fool does not learn from his mistakes, the smart man does, and the wise man learns from the mistakes of others."

You can say that but in real life, stuff like this still happens between gay x bi men and its hurts.
