Dw twin he actually started hating alya from here. Talia survives since it was the empress' plan all along to injure her. The empress tells him that he devalued Talia's chances to get married and has to take the responsibility.
My man performed when he had the money right infront of him and immediately agreed to marry her after holding off his wedding with Alya for so long. Me makes sure their wedding happens fast so he can take Talia away from the twins to protect her.

Yeah why the empress Talia's mom hate her? Like is it bcz she's out of wedlock when she was the mistress? Oh and does she love her son too or he just tool to her?

It’s more like, the empress did aim for the other princess but Talia’s meddling caused another outcome that was still beneficial to her. So she is able to change the marriage and the alliances with that.

Lowkey the empress just sees everyone as her chess pieces. It's her plan for Thalia to marry Varkas so Alya and her twin brother don't gain any political power since Varkas also has a lot of influence. Her mother wants her son to inherit the throne so having Varkas by her side gives her an advantage to overrule the twins.

Well there were moments that felt heart warming but the plot still has to move on one way or another.

King is not affected by the poison, the black poison is the dukes blood, the regas, uses the token to see into the past and See's Dukes ancestor eating the very first king I think(I forgot been long since I've read the novel), +the salt is a drug that has similar effects like black poison, and the dukes son get eaten by his mother bc she got addicted(the king(ml) tells this to the Duke in kinda the end when it's revealed he actually wasn't poisoned)

It's actually fun to read the novel since it kinda gives you the spooks when reading
