I read it a long time ago and forgot the title of the manga, but I remember some details of it

It's about a police man/detective? and a petty thief. The detective has blonde hair I think and the other guy has black hair. I do know that the detective is the older of the two, and they both have english names (I think). Unfortunately I dont remember much of the plot, but I remember the thief breaking into the detective's house once which upset the detective a lot because his previous partner was killed by another break in.
