I actually really like this one, I feel like the author is doing a good job at pacing the story while still giving us rewarding pieces of backstory. Yes, their relationship isn’t perfect but I think both of them are aware of that, and are choosing to love each other even at the risk of their own health. I think they’ve done a good job of showing us that Won Woo knows that Taeshin is unstable, but likes that he relies so heavily on him that he’s willing to overlook the obsessive tendencies he has. They’re both very broken people from different social backgrounds, but they overlap in ways that might just allow them to click enough for the relationship to flourish.
Final thoughts, I’m very interested to see where the author takes their story, because it could be a classic case of a great first season and then just a stereotypical yandere toxic slop story for the rest. I really hope that they build more on Taeshin and the concept of the man who has everything and is still hateful and the one who has nothing but still loves.
