It’s less about today and more about how this always happens and he feels like he’s on the sidelines of his own relationship. He’s frustrated because it’s not the first or second or third or even fourth time this has happened. He feels like his partner doesn’t rely on him and that he has no use in this relationship. It’s the same as how some men can be fine knowing their gf gets better pay than them in the beginning of a relationship but when things start getting serious, the feeling of inadequacy makes them so resentful of not only themselves but also their partner even though it truly just has nothing to do with the partner. In this case though, it does. He should have let him know. His injury is bad enough on its own but the fact that he unknowingly caused more pain/harm to his lover on a day they were having a nice date on gives him so much guilt that he doesn’t know what to do with it. It’s a poor way to handle it and he absolutely has to apologise and work on managing his emotions better without blowing up on others but it’s not completely unrealistic. I’ve done it before and immediately regretted it but didn’t know how to apologise right away since I felt ashamed. I hope he does apologise the next day tho.

I get that but it just feels like he doesn’t see the effort he puts in to “win him over” and just completely looked over his injury and didn’t even check if he was okay before storming off. It’s pretty frustrating seeing a character showing little to no sympathy in a scene like this. :/

Well, no actually. He was so concerned that he dragged him to the hospital and stayed with him and listened to the doctors intently. He only stormed off AFTER knowing he was okay and had a brace. He did see the effort that was put into the date and he enjoyed it. It’s not that he’s not seeing it. To put it in a way you might understand, let’s say it’s a parents birthday and a child decides “let’s make breakfast!” And sets out to the kitchen to do just that. The child gets injured cause kitchens are not made for young children and then hides the injury from the parent. The parent would happily eat the breakfast and accidentally grabs the child by where it hurts while giving them a hug. Do you think the parent wouldn’t blow up and scream at the child? It’s very unrealistic if you think that parent wouldn’t blow up and would remain calm. I’m not a parent but I’m a parentified older sister to a toddler and when she gets hurt, I get so angry at the world that she got hurt but also at her for not telling me when it happened so we could check it out and make sure it’s okay or not BEFORE it becomes a problem. It’s the same thing. You can feel multiple things at once but anger is just fear in a black leather jacket and it has a death metal scream. He’s scared he hurt his bf and he’s scared his bf is gonna get seriously injured or in major trouble and not even tell him about it until it’s too late and he can no longer do anything about it. You think it’s no sympathy but it’s actually the seme with no empathy. The seme should be thinking “how would I feel if he got hurt and hid it for me for an entire day until I touched it and hurt him more?” The uke did his part by rushing him to hospital to make sure his injury won’t lead to permanent damage. This is on seme now.
