Has nothing to do with manhwas, this a a typical type of storytelling in asian countries in general. Even in other countries this is quite frequent, usually in more funny rather than serious moments tho. In comedy movies or shows for example it's often used.
This was kinda ass ngl , hella confusing didn't feel like the plot was finished, this must be the creator first time publishing a story cause it felt really messy

i don’t know, the king has done some vile stuff if it turns out the second lead is terrible too then that would be a big twist. but i have no reason (especially cos i read the raws) to believe he’s a bad person
