in the latest chapter, we were shown what happened to pyeonghwa after his mother died (which, in chapter 23, was shown that incheol was involved in). apparently, pyeonghwa was taken care of a police officer. now, incheol was asking why the cop stopped being his guardian right before he became an adult, which pyeonghwa replied with, "i ended up growing too fast." this is because the police officer was sexually abusing him as a child up to his teens, and when he grew older, the cop was no longer attracted to him. basically, the cop was a ped0phile.
this goes to show why pyeonghwa seems to be hypersexual, as also noted by incheol, who was asking him repeatedly how long he was going to continue acting like /that/. what happened to his childhood was also seemingly alluded in the Mysterious Skin poster in his room, which is a film tackling the same topic. young pyeonghwa also looks similar to the main character of the film, which is neil mccormick.
