I don’t u understand much too, but I try to explain with my understanding if it’s wrong I’m sorry.
Basically, Jarn we read is not real Jarn in real timeline, his monster friend have power to change the time/go back to past. Basically the real timeline Jarn the one missing not his aunty, they be looking for him. But this timeline he didn’t meet the monster but the aunty was missing, and his mother was sick and worried about her sister. Real timeline Jarn just a sex slave for Ordin but when he was away, Jarn addicted and thirst with Ordin’s “love”. Since he was missing for years (he thought he only missing for hours) His mother and aunty died, so he have nobody except Ordin. When Ordin was away his monster friend kidnapped him so Jarn can satisfy his needs. and the monster couldn’t see Jarn like that (addicted for Ordin’s love) so he change the past. Apparently their memories was back and they remembered the real timeline.

After some thinking and reading other comments, I think I understand it a lot better now. The storytelling is off and makes it hard to follow, so it’s easy to get lost and confused lol.
Jarn, in a past life, was the one who went “missing”. After getting mixed up with Fenrir in the lake, he was on the run and ran into Ordin. Not knowing true love, the warmth of another person, a hug, he falls in love with Ordin even after being raped by him. He loved the man, but at what cost? He was locked away. Ordin was possessive. Controlling. Didn’t want Jarn to leave him. But this made Jarn extremely depressed. Who wouldn’t? Being locked in a tower all alone, never allowed to leave. So, Fenrir desguised himself as Ordin, the man Jarn loved, to provide him happiness. Make him feel less alone while Ordin was away. Eventually, wishing to do things over, Fenrir gives half od himself to Jarn to rewind time and change details. This time, it’s Jarn’s aunt who’s missing, Fenrir is locked up, and Ordin isn’t as mean as he used to be.
However, the timelines disrupt. Everyone is slowly regaining their memories. And as it turns out; because Fenrir gave half of himself to Jarn, Jarn is now half monster. Ordin know’s why, know’s Jarn is truly human and that Fenrir is the cause, and he still loves Jarn.
I’m still confused about one thing, though. Why is the picture of Jarn from before still there? Maybe instead of rewinding time as if the events never happened, Fenrir could only rewind memories? Or the body as well. But not the world as a whole? Items still exist. Almost explains why they can regain memories of a time that shouldn’t exist if it technically never happened.
I hope this makes sense lol.
Thank you so much. I’m most confused about how young ordin had the portrait from the aunt. So there really was an aunt? Or is there no aunt and the aunt and Ordin’s dad actually just Jarn and Ordin? And where exactly in the past did Fenrir step in? I’m getting the gist of the goings on but am having issues sorting the actual sequence of events I guess. Like, if time is turned back, how is Fenrir in the prison. Is it actually cause the Duke went to chase Aunt Yarn? Then time was oddly rewound and the duke returned as a child Ordin? In all of this I feel bad for Fenrir…seems like he really got the short end of the stick.
