i have to place this in my top 3 manhwa for sure omg for one this isn’t an isekai or time travel which is already a huuuuuuge distinguisher from all the other manhwas. it can be really boring if it isn’t done well but the fl is such a thorough and amazing character. the art is really good and unique too i haven’t seen others like this esp for a historical manhwa. i like how this story progresses from a point already in the story and you learn enough about her past to see her growth as a character and person who learns from her mistakes and challenges her own shortcomings. she’s a really good character and i actually really like the ml too. their relationship dynamic was developed really well and for the most part i think the ml steers away from many typical tropes too. this story has established itself with a really good plot, art, and i have to point out how it doesn’t confuse u with politics and the royal family. i actually kind of really like how there’s not elite struggle and political conflict to the extent that a lot of other manhwas tend to lean into. this story and it’s characters are very classy yet u don’t lose the fun parts of the story. serena is still a girl that likes cute things and has cute chi i humor moments. she’s actually a very dynamic character and i like how overtime we can see how strong eisener’s values are and how he sticks to them and adapts over time. i’m actually pretty invested and interested in this story like i’ve never been bored. the tactics they use in this are pretty clever too and not corny esp when they’re putting other ppl in place. this was such a breath of fresh air.
