Imagine you're a student the night before their final exams in Physics or Chemistry. You decide not to study and instead read a manhwa like one does because procrastination is the e^x of all possible actions atp. But instead of the story distracting you from the pain you'll have to face the next day you get LECTURED on fucking QUANTUM PHYSICS and THERMODYNAMICS. I think I would curl up into a ball and cry why tf would you pull a Lisa Cron like that?

This is such a weird power dynamic. Not only is mc financially dependent on ml but his knowledge is comparable to that of a preschooler given his lack of education and the difference in standard for it in his previous life. It feels they're a child and a fully grown adult, respectively, when interacting and that's kind of repulsive.
I honestly find that it's because his dialogue is so strangely written. I assume they're struggling to translate his more traditional way of speaking into English while preserving the difference between him and the others, and it's resulted in him sounding stupid. Cause yes he was a commoner but clearly despite being a virgin he was a grown man with desires and knowledge. The main blank space in his knowledge that makes their power dynamic a bit odd is his lack of insight into the modern social hierarchy, but the ML isn't taking advantage of that so I'm not too bothered.
This is just not true at all. He’s just a grown man from the Joseon era with amnesia who speaks historically, that’s all. Nothing childish to me tbh.
Absolutely agree. Also relating uneducated or illiterate people to children is fucked up and ignorant af
